PR Mission – Day 5 Recap

PR Mission – Day 5 Recap

Day 5

Today we worked overtime to finish installing the walls in all of the rooms. We also began painting Dennis’ bedroom and the living room.

During the morning we were visited by his sister and her husband who were thrilled with our progress and plans to bring us lunch tomorrow.

Our afternoon visitor was Dennis’ case manager who told us about the progress that will occur after we leave. Dennis’ will be receiving new floors, appliances, and furnishings. She also ordered some supplies we needed to continue.

We poured paint all day long.

Taking a quick break from painting.

Progress in Dennis’ new bedroom in the    front of the house.

Working while singing “I’ve Been Working               on the Railroad.”

Sue has issues with her shoes. As usual duct tape saves the day.

A powerful moment as RJ restores Sue’s sole.

Passing Bebo’s each day turns out to be too great of a temptation. Midnight snack (8:30)!!

Circumstances caused Daphne not to be able to be with us in person, so we brought her along the best way we could! She sends us beautiful messages and scripture readings for each day that inspire us and keep us going.

I surely think about, pray for, and miss each of you several times a day. It’s great to see those smiles! Wish I had left my boots packed for Sue! Wishing you a safe, productive, Christ filled day.
