Today's Scripture
Undaunted Faith Psalm 27:1 -3, 13 -14
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold[a] of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evildoers assail me
to devour my flesh—
my adversaries and foes—
they shall stumble and fall.
3 Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident.
13 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!

What does the passage say?
V. 1-3 The Lord is my light and my shield. Whom shall I fear
V. 13-14 I wait upon the Lord, till God’s will is done. I wait in patience.
What does this passage mean to me/us?
David, ‘a man after God’s own heart,’ went through many tribulations.
During the time of tribulations, the psalms were his prayer and confession.
In the time he was waiting, for the Lord’s hand to deliver him from the misery, there is one common aspect we see from his psalms.
He still had full trust in God. Like I had mentioned, in my sermon, the definition of faith is to have ‘full trust’ in God.
The faith, David had in God, was the strength for him to not only endure but also be courageous during the time of tribulations.
Do we have that faith?
Does our life project the faith we have in God? Are we sharing that faith with others?
Prayer
Lord, we trust in you with all we have. Cast away all fear, and help us to be steadfast in your love.
In Christ Name, AMEN.
