Today's Scripture
Family Faith – Proverbs 3:3-6
3 Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 So you will find favor and good repute
in the sight of God and of people.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.

What does the passage mean to me/us?
Personally, I do not appreciate when Upper Room uses the same passage in a week.
However, after preaching about how we need to pass on the faith to the next generation, I do need to say that God might be leading us to a certain direction.
First, we need to trust in God, within all that we do. That becomes the foundation for us to Love God with all that we have.
If you are in a state of wondering if you love God or not, maybe it is a time to see if you really trust God.
Trusting God is a discipline we need to monitor ourselves carefully. So many times, we tend to rely on our own understanding, instead of fully trusting our Lord.
Once we offer ourselves to our Lord, with Love and Faithfulness, we are called to do the same to others.
Not only our next Generation but also everyone we are in contact with.
They are brought into our lives for a purpose.
God has a specific plan for them through us. God will fulfill the purpose God has in our lives, at the same time.
Only when we rely on God.
We all need to start at a certain point.
It is to trust God with all that we have.
Prayer
Lord, we know that you are the Lord of our lives. Help us to trust in you, and live as people who solely trust in you.
In Christ Name, we pray, AMEN
