Today's Scripture
Dancing Sabbath – Psalm 61:1-4
1 Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth I call to you,
when my heart is faint.
Lead me to the rock
that is higher than I;
3 for you are my refuge,
a strong tower against the enemy.
4 Let me abide in your tent forever,
find refuge under the shelter of your wings.Selah

What the passage says
V. 1-2 I call to you Lord, during the time of oppression.
V. 2b-4 Be my rock and refuge. Invite me to your dwelling place, where I find peace and strength.
What does the passage say to me/us?
We are sojourners in this world. The world we live in is not the end product. While we live in this, it is natural for us to be weary.
When it seems like we are reaching a dead end, it is a time for us to seek our creator.
When we call for help, God responded to God’s people. God instructs us to God’s way. God changes our life and transforms us.
We will see God’s invitation to God’s dwelling place. And we will experience God’s power to restore and change.
Prayer
Lord, be our refuge and rock. May we live in this world, with the confidence of being your children.
In Christ name, we pray, AMEN
