Today's Scripture
Promises Made and Kept Hebrews 6:10-20
10 For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do. 11 And we want each one of you to show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope to the very end, 12 so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
The Certainty of God’s Promise
13 When God made a promise to Abraham, because he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself, 14 saying, “I will surely bless you and multiply you.” 15 And thus Abraham,[b] having patiently endured, obtained the promise. 16 Human beings, of course, swear by someone greater than themselves, and an oath given as confirmation puts an end to all dispute. 17 In the same way, when God desired to show even more clearly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it by an oath, 18 so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible that God would prove false, we who have taken refuge might be strongly encouraged to seize the hope set before us. 19 We have this hope, a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters the inner shrine behind the curtain, 20 where Jesus, a forerunner on our behalf, has entered, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

What does this passage say to me/us?
What we do in the name of God, with not go in vain.
There are times when we feel like all we do are worthless.
When we try to do God’s will and live a life, different from what the world says, it can be difficult because many times we do not see the outcome of our work.
However, God’s words reaffirm us by saying, ‘God doesn’t miss anything. He knows perfectly well all the love you’ve shonw him by helping the need, and that you keep at it.’ (V. 9 The Message).
God sees what you do.
Let’s continue to do and live for God’s will.
Prayer
Lord, continue to strengthen us to do your will. Be with us today.
In Christ, we pray, AMEN
