Today's Scripture
Where is My Focus? Philippians 4: 4-9
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

What the passage says
V. 4-5 Rejoice in all you do, and it will bring peace and gentleness that is notable to the world.
V. 6-7 Present your needs to God, with thanksgiving, and see how God works.
V. 8-9 Continue to do thing things with perseverance and see how God’s peace reigns in your life.
What does the passage mean to me/us?
Where do we find peace?
Is it from security? Is it from stability?
The Word says it comes from ‘Rejoycing in the Lord.’
However, we know how hard it is to rejoice in the world.
That is we need to constantly practice thanksgiving, and lay down our worries to the Lord.
It is complete trusting in the Lord, which brings peace.
When we do so, the world will see.
May the world see peace and gentleness that comes from our Lord.
Prayer
Lord, help us to be thankful in every moment of today. Help us to experience the peace that comes from you. May we also share the peace and gentleness with others.
In Christ Name, we pray, AMEN
