Radical Hospitality in action all the time!

John 12:46 – Jesus said, “I have come as a light into the world so that everyone who believes in Me would not remain in darkness.” The Bible says that, “You are the light that gives light to the world.” What kind of light have you been giving off? Think about the words from a song in your childhood – This Little Light of Mine. We sing “I’m gonna let it shine. Let it shine till Jesus comes.” Is yours shining? Did Satan blow yours out? Are you hiding it under a bushel? Where is your light?

This is an invitation for you to get your light out so you can share it; let it make YOUR face shine and YOUR love flow. Each light that is shining is good, but if we could all shine together, what an awesome feeling of the energy of Jesus we would have. Let the lights for Jesus illuminate our church!

You can be a part of the illumination by choosing to usher; to be a greeter at the door in the gathering area; to unlock and lock the church doors; to help the tech team during our worship services; to worship with the Raleigh Court Rehab Center residents during our 11:00 worship service; to be part of hospitality, preparing and serving refreshments after church each Sunday; to drive the church van or your car to pick up folks who need a ride to church and/or a parking lot greeter. In addition, we need you to greet everyone you see every Sunday, introduce yourself to those around you that you do not know. Offer help and information to our guests.

1 Peter 4:8‐10 “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”

Prayerfully consider how you want to be a steward of God. Contact the church office or just write it on a piece of paper and put it in the offering plate. Be sure to include your name and phone number or email address.

Acolytes

Youth and adults are invited to serve our church by joining our acolyte team.  Acolytes carry in the cross, light the candles, and assist with serving communion.
