Children’s Choirs

Children’s Choir, Cherub Choir, and the Children’s handbell choir provide an opportunity for children to participate in the music ministry of our church while learning about music and the Christian faith. Combining vocal music, handbells, choir chimes, Orff instruments, drama and movement the children learn to be active participants and leaders in worship, while they have fun making music.  The Cherub Choir is for preschoolers and rehearses during Sunday school.  The Children’s choir is for children in grades K-4 and rehearses on Wednesdays at 5:30 to 6:30 during “The Garden” program.  Children in grades 2-5 spend the first part of rehearsal learning handbells. The younger children also learn Orff instruments and beginning music skills with George Dickenson.  All the children join together for singing. The children provide music for worship about once a month, perform at the Christmas Concert, lead the Christmas pageant, and present a musical in May.
