As we live in this broken world, we are bound to be hurt, both physically and emotionally. We become broken vessels in this world and are in need of God’s healing. In the Bible, we see how God calls God’s people to come to the presence of God and ask for restoration.
The Bible strongly affirms the healing act of God for God’s people, and it is called Spiritual healing.  According to the Book of Worship, “Spiritual healing is God’s work of offering persons balance, harmony, and wholeness of body, mind, spirit, and relationships through confession, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Through such healing, God works to bring about reconciliation between God and humanity, among individuals and communities, within each person, and between humanity and the rest of creation.” (Book of Worship P. 613)

What to Expect

We will sing together and listen to the word of God, as we prepare our hearts to enter the presence of our Lord. Then we will pray for members of our church, who are experiencing physical or emotional difficulties. We will be praying for each member’s needs. When we come together in prayer, God works in a beautiful way.

Also, we will have a time anointing. It says in James, “Are you hurting? Pray. Do you feel great? Sing. Are you sick? Call the church leaders together to pray and anoint you with oil in the name of the Master. Believing-prayer will heal you, and Jesus will put you on your feet. And if you’ve sinned, you’ll be forgiven—healed inside and out.” James 5:13 -15 The Message

Who should come

As we prepare for the time of Lent, many people may be in need of healing due to the loss of a loved one, medical issues, or other difficulties in their lives.

This service is open to all members of our church and members of our community.

If you have a medical issue, experienced the loss of a loved one, or need to be reconnected with God, this is your time to come to our Lord.

Also, if you know anyone who might benefit from this service, please feel free to invite them to join us.
