Today's Scripture

Patient Trust Galatians 6:7-10

Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit. So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. 10 So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.

RJ's Devotion

 WHAT DOES THE PASSAGE say?

V. 7-8 Do not sow on flesh but sow for the eternal promise, focusing on the Spirit.
V. 9 The harvest for this work will come at the end of our journey, so don’t grow weary.
V. 10 Do good to others, especially for the people in your faith community.

What Does the passage Mean to Me/US?

“But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life” (v. 7 The Message).

Are you allowing the work of the Holy Spirit transform your life?
Sometimes, we tend to try to do the work with our own strength, instead of asking the Spirit to work in and through us.
That might be the reason we become weary.
Instead, what if we allow the Spirit to work with us, every day. Pray and start your day by saying, ‘ Lord, work in my life. I want to sow for eternal life, instead of what the world demands me to do.’ Then see how God will sow eternity, through our work in the world.
Start with the ones you love, but extend the good work to the ones, who might even dislike you.
And see how God transforms your life.

Prayer

Lord, help us to sow and work for your kingdom. Transform us daily, as we ask for your Spirit, in all we do. In Christ Name, we pray, AMEN
